Thank you, Siddharth Shirali couldn't get Shaan korma masala powder, so I settled for Hakkim korma masala powder. Created my own version of chicken curry using Hakkim korma masala powder.
This Chicken Curry with Korma Masala recipe brings together the richness of a ground paste made with onions, cashew nuts, and desiccated coconut, combined with the aromatic korma masala. When I couldn’t get my hands on Shaan korma masala, I opted for Hakkim korma masala powder, The result was satisfying.
Ingredients
500 grams chicken pieces
Method
Marinate the chicken pieces with 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder and 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder.
Ingredients for the ground paste
2 onions sliced
10 Cashew nuts
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
Method
Heat up a pan with some clarified butter/ ghee. Sauté the sliced onions until they turn brown. Add the cashew nuts and fry . Next , add the Desiccated coconut and fry . Once cool , grind to paste with ginger garlic paste and just enough water.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon of korma masala powder ( I used Hakkim korma masala powder )
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder or according to taste
Method
1:
In a vessel heat up some clarified butter/ ghee. Sear( fry till lightly brown)the chicken pieces .

Add the ground masala to the chicken pieces and stir fry. Add the 1 tablespoon of korma masala powder, 1 cup water and allow to cook for 2 minutes.

Next add the chilli powder,1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves , 1/2 cup if required and 1 tablespoon dry kasuri methi (Fenugreek)leaves.
