Chicken Stew East Indian

Chicken stew with vegetables.

Ingredients 1 Marinate 500 gms chicken with 1 tsp pepper powder, salt , 1/4 tsp turmeric

Ingredients 2 Grind to powder 1 inch cinnamon stick 4 cloves 3 cardamom 1and 1/2 tsp pepper corn Keep aside Ingredients 3 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder 180 gms onions (2 onions) finely chopped 6 cloves garlic finely chopped 1 inch ginger finely chopped 2 bay leaves 3 green chillies finely chopped 2 tbsp coriander stems finely chopped 2 tomatoes sliced 250 gms potatoes chopped into cubes 1/4 cup water 2 carrots 100 gms peas 1 chicken stock cube 1/4 Finely chopped coriander leaves

Method Add 3 tbsp oil , to it add the finely chopped garlic, ginger, bay leaf and green chillies. Stir fry till aroma arises . Add in the finely chopped coriander stems and mix well. Next add the sliced tomatoes and potatoes and allow to cook for 1 minute. Add the marinated chicken , peas and carrots , mix well. After 1/4 cup water and cook for 2 minutes on low flame. Now add the crushed stock cube, finely chopped Coriander leaves and the powdered spices and nutmeg powder and Mix well. Add enough water 1 inch above the Chicken and vegetables. Cook till done. When the potatoes are done ,mash two to three potatoes for natural thickness. Served with bread or Rice.
