A slight spicy ,peppery flavour Chicken served with a Fried Rice
Ingredients 1
500 gms Boneless chicken pieces
clea and wash well,pat dry
Marinate the chicken pieces with a mix of
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
salt to taste
Ingredients 2
For the ground paste
3 kashmiri chillies
1tsp pepper corn
1 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 cup hot water
Soak all the above mentioned spices in the hot water for half hour, then grind to paste.
Ingredients 3
2 celery stalks finely chopped
2 onions finely chopped
2 capsicum cut into juliennes (thinly sliced)
8 cloves garlic finely chopped
1 inch ginger finely chopped
1 tbsp soya sauce
1 tbsp chilli sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
3 green chillies finely chopped
1 tsp vinegar
1/2 cup water
METHOD
Shallow fry the marinated chicken pieces with some amount of oil
Once done , remove and keep aside
Stir fry finely chopped garlic,ginger till lightly browned. Add in next the finely chopped onions and stir fry till translucent. Mix in the finely chopped celery, green chillies and the ground chilli paste.
Stir fry on medium flame. Then add the Soya sauce, Oyster sauce, ketchup and chilli sauce
Mix well and then add the 1/2 cup water .
After a minute add the chicken pieces, capsicum juliennes and the vinegar.
Cook for another 5 to 10 mins on low flame occasionally stirring.
Serve with fried rice.
