Fried King Fish Fillet with Creamy Coconut Veg Noodles & Mango Salad

A delightful and flavourful meal featuring crispy fried king fish fillets, creamy coconut vegetable noodles, and a refreshing mango salad. Perfect for a special family meal!


Fried King Fish Fillets



Ingredients:



4 king fish fillets



For the Marinade:



4 ½ tsp chilli powder



1 ½ tsp cumin powder



1 ½ tsp pepper powder



1 tsp turmeric powder



1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder



1 tbsp ginger garlic paste



2 tbsp soy sauce



1 tbsp white vinegar



1 tbsp oil



1 tsp brown sugar



Method:



1. Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl.



2. Coat the fish fillets thoroughly with the marinade and set aside for 40 minutes.



For Frying:



Panko bread crumbs (or semolina as an alternative)



1. Coat the marinated fish with panko bread crumbs.



2. Shallow fry until golden and crispy on both sides.

Creamy Coconut Veg Noodles



Ingredients:



Vegetables:



200g broccoli florets



1 carrot, chopped into cubes



1 yellow zucchini, chopped into cubes



Spices:



1 ½ tsp coriander powder



½ tsp cumin powder



½ tsp pepper powder



½ tsp garam masala powder



¼ to ½ tsp chilli powder



Other Ingredients:



2 ½-inch piece of ginger, finely chopped



6 cloves garlic, finely chopped



4 green chillies, finely chopped



200 ml coconut milk



2 tbsp soy sauce



15-20 fresh basil leaves



200g noodles, cooked



Method:



1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté ginger, garlic, and green chillies until lightly browned.



2. Add the spice powders and soy sauce, mix well.



3. Stir-fry the zucchini and carrots for a minute. Then add broccoli and stir-fry.



4. Pour in 1 cup of water, cover, and cook until the vegetables are almost done.



5. Add coconut milk, chilli powder, salt as required and 1/2 cup water.



6. Toss in the cooked noodles and mix everything well.



Mango Salad



Ingredients:



2 raw mangoes, thinly sliced



3 medium onions, sliced



¼ cup coriander leaves, finely chopped



Cherry tomatoes, halved



Chilli powder, as per taste



Icing sugar, as per taste



Salt, to taste



Pepper powder, to taste



Few basil leaves



2 tsp olive oil



Method:



1. Toss all the ingredients together in a bowl.
