Mutton chops Curry

A flavourful and aromatic mutton chops Curry with a blend of spices and a hint of tandoori masala creating a symphony of flavours that is sure to tantalize your taste buds



Ingredients

600 gram Mutton chops

Wash mutton chops Well. Add 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon of vinegar and 2 teaspoons of wheat or gram flour to the mutton chops and keep aside for 20 minutes.

Wash it off well and keep aside

Ingredients

For marination

1 and 1/2 tablespoons of tandoori masala powder ( I used shaan masala powder, do not add salt)

1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste

Mix both well.

Marinate the mutton chops with this masala paste and keep for half an hour.

Ingredients

For the ground masala

1 tablespoon of coriander seeds

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 teaspoon of fennel seeds

1 teaspoon pepper corn

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 inch cinnamon stick

1 black cardamom

4 cloves

1 onion sliced

Grind all the above to a paste with just enough water

Ingredients for the curry

2 medium size onions finely chopped

2 medium size tomatoes finely chopped

2 green chillies finely chopped

2 potatoes chopped

1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves

Method

Step 1

Heat up some oil in a pressure cooker. Once hot add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn lightly brown. Add the tomatoes, green chillies and cook till soft and done .

Step 2

Add the ground masala paste and 1/2 cup water, cook for a minute. Add the marinated mutton chops and cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.

Step 3

Add just enough water and cook on high flame. After the first whistle lower the flame and cook for 10 mins.

Step 4

Once the steam is released add the potatoes and cook for 1 or 2 whistles. Finally, add the finely chopped coriander leaves.

Ps : shaan tandoori masala has enough salt, so did not add any salt .
