Mutton Do Pyaza

Mutton Do Pyaza is a mutton curry prepared with spices and onions.



Ingredients1


For the paste

12 cashew nut , powder and keep

2 big onions sliced

3 green chilies chopped

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste


Stir fry the onions till brown

Add little water and grind all the above to a paste.



Ingredients2


1 Kilo 200 gms mutton

Wash well and pat dry



Ingredient 3

5 medium size tomatoes . Puree and keep

4 big onions sliced


2 tbsp chili powder or according to taste

1 tbsp coriander powder

1 tsp cumin powder

1tsp pepper powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp fennel seeds and 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds (powder both and keep)

salt to taste

1 tsp garam masala powder



Ingredients 4

1/2 cup coriander leaves

1 tsp apple cider vinegar



Method


Add oil to the pressure cooker. Once the oil is hot add the sliced onions and stir fry till brown. Add the ground cashew nut and onion paste. keep stir frying for a minute on medium flame. Then add tomato puree and some amount of water and allow to cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Then add the spice powders mentioned in ingredients 3 , salt to taste.


Allow to cook for 2 minutes.


Then add the mutton pieces, some amount of water and pressure cook on high for first whistle then on low flame for 15 to 20 minutes or till done. PS : cooking of mutton can vary , after high it can take 10 to 15 mins to cook or 20 mins.


Once done add 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves and 1 tsp vinegar.
