An Indian Sweet prepared with a generous amount of ghee/clarified butter , gram flour, sugar and cardamom powder . An Indian sweet prepared during festive season


Ingredients

1 cup besan /gram flour 2 cups hot boiling melted ghee 2 cups sugar 1/2 tsp cardamom powder A drop of yellow food colour


Method

Roast the gram flour till aroma arises Sift the gram flour and keep aside

To a kadhai add the 2 cups sugar and 1/2cup water. On medium flame keep stirring till one thread consistency. Then add the cardamom powder mix quickly Then add the gram flour and mix well Add little by little the hot boiling ghee ,say 1 serving spoon at a time. Add a drop of yellow gel colour . And keep mixing on medium flame. Till all the ghee is used up Keep stirring vigorously till u see it leaves the sides. Grease a tray /thali spread the mixture evenly Once it cools lightly and the ghee is absorbed make the cuts. Once cooled completely remove the pieces. .
