Shark fish Cutlets With Kasuri Methi/ dry fenugreek leaves

Shark fish also known as Mushi or Mori , a very fleshy and tasty fish . At home we all love a good fish cutlet made with this fish, though fried taste good too. For this cutlet I have boiled the fish in some amount of water , once cooled , shred the fish and added spices to it. To this shark cutlet recipe I added dried fenugreek leaves also known as kasuri methi. This gives it a lovely flavour to the fish cutlet . Do try out this recipe. You will love it.





Ingredients

500 gms shark fish

boil with some amount of water and salt to taste


400 gms onions finely chopped

1/2 cup kasuri methi /dry fenugreek leaves

4 green chilies finely chopped

1/2 tsp pepper powder

1 tsp garam masala powder

1/2 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp ginger garlic paste

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

2 tsp chili powder

1 egg well beaten

1 cup cornflakes ground

1/4 cup rice flour

salt to taste if required


Method

Debone the fish and shred the fish pieces. keep aside.

In some oil , stir fry the Finely chopped onions till translucent. Add the kasuri methi and stir fry for 1/2 a minute.

allow this onion mixture to cool.

Now add this shredded fish , onion mixture together.

add the Finely chopped green chilies, pepper powder garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chili powder, lemon juice.

Mix well. add salt if required at this stage.

Now add the egg

mix well.

form into round shape.

coat with ground cornflake and rice flour mixture.


shallow fry
